UPS Access Point! The Brewer Public Library is now officially a UPS access point. Each UPS package must be packed, labeled, and sealed by the customer. The Library cannot accept packages that have a QR code, they must have a full shipping label with tracking number and barcode. The Library address cannot be used for shipping or receiving. After 7 days packages that have not been picked up by the customer can be marked for return by UPS. No Saturday pick up.

Fine Free! We will no longer be charging overdue fines for items checked out at our library. All Brewer Library items may be checked out for 4 weeks. Materials that are 30 days overdue will be put on “Lost” status, replacement cost will be assessed, and borrowing privileges will be suspended until items are returned or paid for. Many public libraries are shifting to fine free because of the barriers and inequity that fines create. Brewer Public Library is open to all community members and we aim to remove barriers to access such as overdue fines. As we navigate this transition we are working to remove pre-existing overdue fines from patron records.
